Thursday 19 November
Dress Rehearsal | 3:45–5:15pm
Backstage doors open 3:30pm.
Full costume, hair and makeup. All Little Movers are required for the full rehearsal.
Saturday 21 November
Little Movers Show | 10:00am
Dancers arrive between 9:30–9:50am and must be signed in and settled backstage before 10am.

Main Show
Tuesday 17th – Thursday 19th November

Friday 20th November
Dress Rehearsal
First Half | 4:00–5:45pm
Second Half | 6:00–7:45pm
Dancers appearing in both halves attend 4:00–7:45pm.
Saturday 21 November
Main Shows | 1:30pm & 6:30pm
Dancers are required backstage 45 minutes before each show | 12:45pm and 5:45pm - and must be picked up between performances.

Ticket Sales
Tickets will go on sale at 9:00am on Friday 23 October through Ticketek and the Napier Municipal Theatre website.
All tickets will be General Admission.
We will send out an email with the direct ticket link as soon as tickets are live. The ticket link will also be added to this page for easy access.
Frequently Asked Questions

Little Movers + Performance Teams perform in our Saturday 10:00am Little Movers Show.
All other classes perform in our Saturday 1:30pm and 6:30pm Main Shows.

Yes. All dancers participating in our Main Show are required to perform in both the 1:30pm and 6:30pm shows.

Dancers do not need a ticket for the show they are performing in. They will be backstage with our team the whole duration of the show.

All theatre rehearsals, dress rehearsals and shows are held at:

Main Show is approximately 2.5 hours including a 20-minute interval; Little Movers is approximately one hour with no interval.

Dancers are dropped off and signed in via the stage door, located at the end of the driveway between the double-storey parking lot and the theatre.

Yes. Once dancers have been signed in, they will remain backstage with our team for the duration of the show.

No. Parents are not permitted backstage unless they are an allocated parent helper.
Our backstage team will supervise dancers and make sure they are ready when it is their turn to perform.

No. Dress rehearsals are closed rehearsals and parents are not permitted to stay and watch unless they are an allocated helper.

All dancers must be collected after the 1:30pm show (approx 4pm) and brought back to the theatre at 5.45pm ready for the 6:30pm show.

Our allocated backstage and dressing-room female helpers will assist dancers with quick changes.
If your child is performing in multiple dances, please ensure you have completed a Multiple Dances Form and returned it to the studio front desk by 6 November.

Dancers will be collected from the stage door.
For our Little Movers Show, parents will be called one class at a time to collect their children. Please wait outside the stage door until your child's class is called.

Requirements are different for our Little Movers and Main Shows.
Please refer to your relevant Show Information Booklet for full details on what your dancer should bring backstage.

Hair requirements vary between classes.
Please refer to your teachers instructions or relevant Show Information Booklet for full hair and makeup requirements, and make sure your dancer arrives show-ready.

Please complete a Multiple Dances Form for your child and return it to the studio front desk by 6 November.

For our Little Movers Show, you are welcome to take photos and videos of your dancer. Please be mindful that other children may appear in your photos or videos and consider their privacy before sharing anything publicly or on social media.

No studio classes are on during show week unless you have been told otherwise by your child’s teacher

Our theatre rehearsals and dress rehearsal are an important and required part of preparing for the show, and we ask that all dancers make these a priority.
If for any reason your child is unable to attend, please email us at hodnapier@gmail.com as soon as possible to explain and let us know.

If your child is too unwell to perform on show day, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing hodnapier@gmail.com so we can notify their teacher and our backstage team.

Our 2026 dance year officially finishes after our show on Saturday 21 November, with no normal classes running after show week.
We will be holding a special show viewing at the studio afterwards, where dancers can come together to watch the full show. The date and details for this will be confirmed soon.
